Hobbies and Interests

Interests

While I love the Lord, and truly enjoy studying the scriptures, I do love other things.  In my free time, there is a collection of news feeds I am subscribed to in my Google Reader.  On average, I read 12,000 articles a month.  Usually, they are articles that are about technology, such as the latest on smart-phones or tablet computer designs.  Currently, I follow around 10 feeds of information about the Android operating system for mobile devices, by Google.

Gaming

On the computer, I love FPS games (first person shooters), but since there are so many, I am typically picky about the ones I choose.

With multiplayer, my first love is Counter-Strike, which is now in its "2.0" version, named Counter-Strike Source. Counter-Strike is a team based game where two teams (Terrorists and Counter Terrorists) war on maps with various missions.  On some maps, the T's have hostages that they must protect, whil the CT's will attempt to rescue them, or kill the entire T team to win.  On other maps, the T's have to plant a bomb at a bombsite, while the CT's attempt to prevent this, or defuse the bomb once it's been planted.  There are a few other scenarios, but these are definitely the primary two.

As far as a single player games, the best game of all time is Half-Life 2 (honorable mention for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time).  I also really enjoyed both Bioshock and Bioshock 2's single player mode.  All of these games (with the exception of Zelda) are considered in the survival-horror genre -- my absolute favorite.

Movies

Speaking of horror, my favorite movie genre is horror, although the number of horror movies that make my "absolute favorites" list is small, mostly due to the crap quality of most entries in the genre.  In any case, I love movies.  I am subscribed to Netflix, mainly for the Instant Streaming feature.  I also make it a point to buy any movie I like, to support it.

Music

My musical tastes are very narrow.  I really only like Christian music.  It's not a religious spirit, and I don't think I'm all-righteous as a result.  I just love the Lord and desire to always lift Him up (and lift up my own spirit in the Lord).  However, I do have a few non-sacred artists that I thoroughly enjoy.

Friends

My life is not complete without the wonderful friends with whom God has blessed me.  Each hold a very special place in my heart, and I'm eternally thankful for all of them.  They are the best friends the world has to offer, and I cherrish each of them, and every moment we spend ownzoring.

Holidays

I love Holidays, and the Christian ones like Christmas and Easter are a no brainer for someone of my faith.  But Halloween? I love it.  I think its mainly the memories of trick-or-treating.  To me, it's just fun.  But yeah... I love Halloween.
